How about building a stroker 302 to produce 500 naturally-aspirated horsepower with a carburetor, and making it streetable?

I didnt even read past that.... its a stroker motor. Not a 302. Nice find though

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, its a 302
A Probe Industries stroker kit was utilized to reach the desired displacement. Included are Crower Sportsman forged chrome-moly rods with a 5.500-inch center-to-center length. This package also includes the Probe-designed forged pistons. They use a custom aluminum alloy, and the pistons are CNC milled to final shape.

No, TECHNICALLY speaking is a 355, not a 302. Just because it was not bored out does not mean that the dispalcement was not increased

Displacment isnt determind by what you start with, its determined by the amount of air an engine and pull and push through itself.

Nah, technically it isnt a 302 dude. 500hp N/A on a 302, you would probably have to spin it to like 10,000rpm and have some monster heads and cam in it. Then, even still it would be tight.

You're rod ratio will go to crap w/ rods that long and that motor probably won't see 50k miles. Just get a 357 (351 bored over) and drive it like you stole it.
