95 decibles? Thats like a riding lawnmower isnt it?
But my buddies car isnt loud at all, i mean flooring its still not all that loud. Ahh, the cop was just bored. I guess he thought he'd bust my friend for some aftermarket mufflers or something, but they're the OEM replacement muff's on it. So what a dip sh*t cop.

Yeah, that cop was just being a d*ck. The exhaust is not even loud but oh well. I have no choice but to go stock for a quick second, smog the car put the parts back on and sell it. Thats the worst part is getting rid of that car. I like that damn car and poored lots of money into it. Time to go old school. Hopefully I get 5K for and ask the old man to loan me another 5K to get a fastback. Hopefully!

RE: California state ref... need help!
i had that ref crap happen to me. i bought a 77 f-250. 351m motor, 3 speed tranny, 44" tires, custom long tubes (longest headers ive ever seen). took it to go smog (back before i knew about smog and cars and such. no body could smog it cause the truck was 8feet wide with the 44's on. had to go to ref. for smog. they ran it. they said all the emissions equipment was missing and the truck made over 10 times the legal limit. so i bought a 1971 f-250 and switched the vin numbers and told the state i junked the '77. ran it that way for a few years then sold it

Next time a cop asks you if he can look at something say no. You gave him permission to write you citations. If you need a buyer for the lt's, lemme know I'll give ya my FRPP shorties and my stock H (1st set of cats is gutted) + some $ for the headers and mid pipe....

The thing is when you say "NO" drama starts and I've been out of trouble for a few years know I'm getting older and don't have time for there crap plus I have nothing in my car which I thought that's why I was getting pulled over for. But I just saw some guy on Craiglist parting out his car. I'm going to buy his stock headers and mid pipe. If I sell my LT's and H pipe I'll PM you.

RE: California state ref... need help!
Question I am from Chicago and am a police officer. 1 I would never ask someone to pop their hood for one reason Unless they are trained in mechanical and know every setup of every car that is manufactured I can not see how he can write you a ticket. So that would be my defense in court. I would never admit that anything is aftermarket. I would take pictures of the car with a stock system on it and bring them to court. Find someone at a exhaust shop that will help you out saying that your exhaust is legal. A judge is not going to contest this. That is what I would do, again argue the point of what makes him a expert on cars.
