Default which size throttle body

Ok time to get a throttle body. I have a 91 5.0, with the trick flow track heat engine kit, 30# injectors, BBK headers, full exhaust, BBK CAI, and a 75 mm MAF. I am gonna order my TB tonight, i just dont know what size. I plan on putting my 351 in the car next summer, so i was planning on a 75mm, but will that be too big for what i have now? Also, the EGR system has been removed from my car, do i stil need to order the plate, or can i just bolt the throttle body staight to the upper intake?

with 30# injectors you should be good with 75mm. I was told not to go bigger than a 70mm for the 19lb injectors. You'll probably want a bigger maf. The idea is you want to create a wind funnel. big maf tappered down a few mms to the throttle body. For example, 70 mm maf to a 65 mm tb. anyways 75 tb should be good for your application.

A 70 will be plenty. If the opening of your intake is only a 70mm, then a 75 will do nothing for your application. Mine is a 70mm, so I bought a t/b that would match. I have a blower, 75mm mass air, 42's and the 70mm t/b works fine.

Awesome, that makes alot of sense. I am gonna go with the 70mm, but what baout the egr plate. Should i order one, and put a block off plate on it, or should i just bolt the tb to the intake?

The only thing you may run into w/o the egr plate is a problem w/ the throttle linkage bolting up and hitting the valve cover.
