I haven't used that cam...
But the reason it is better than the Ford letter cam is that the Comp Cam has a split lobe design. The intake and exhaust lobes are not identical.

The restriction on Windsor heads (whether stock or aftermarket) is usually the exhaust port.
A little more duration/lift on the exhaust side will help alleviate that problem, without causing drivability problems to increase dramatically.

Well, that's how I see it anyway.

Ford builds the whole car their resources are spread thin, Comp cams are pretty much valve train only. They spend way more money and time researching "what works best" Get the Comp
