1990 Mustang LX 5.0 *Check Engine Light Question*
I cleaned most of my electrical plugs with quick dry electrical cleaner and now my check engine light has come on. I disconnected the negative battery cable for 2 min and then put it back and it still comes on. How can I fix this? Any help would be great

I replaced my EGR valve and O2 sensors then took the California smog "pretest" and passed it but because the check engine light was on the smog tech failed me on the visual inspection part of the test. If anyone knows how to reset the computer or make the light go off let me know. The tech said for a diagonisis he wants $60 more[:@]

only 96 and up has obd2, urs would plug into a plug that is loacted byt the firewall on the drivers side. we bought a good scanner with all the plug ins for about 400. it is wel worth the money though, the ones that flash are just to hard to read.

I hear the cali smog test is the strict place in America, I remember taking my stang into smog test with no cats on it just straight pipes, the guy said youre car wont pass, I told him wanna bet, I just added 2 gallons of methonal dyrate into the gas tank, On 87 octane fuel it passed with flying colors.
