Default X-Pipe Suggestions

I've decided to go with the X-pipe. But now i dont know which brand i want. Does it really matter?
UPR has one for only 159.99 and they claim a 20 HP increase. Bassani has 3" for 519.95, and a
2.5" for 309.95, or Magnaflow x-pipe. Also what diameter size pipe should i get? 2.5" or 3"?
Thanks

One, a x pipe will not give you 20hp.

Two, go with a 2.5' depending on application but if its not a race car I wouldnt go with a 3'.

You can go with BBK, Bassani, Magnaflow, etc.

All of them have different prices and different tones.

Try mustangexhaust.com to help you make a decision.

coming from stock H, the O/R X should give you 20hp (not at the wheels). I've been looking at UPR or Pypes X's. Ebay has Mac stainless X's for under $200.

Will flowmaster 1 chambers sound good with an x-pipe? Would it pop and crack a lot? Cuz i don't want too much poping and stuff.
Long tube header suggestions?

X pipes are nice! Much better than an H. I can control the scavenging with my gas pedal. After so many rpms, the motor really opens up.

How do you figure X pipes are "much" better than an h pipe. Are you talking sound or performance?

The performance is very minimal... definetly not noticable. And as for sound, thats a personal opinion.

I got a BBK X-pipe with Flows on it (no cats). It doesn't crackle or pop like you think it would sound like. I get looks from people all the time, everyone that rides in it or sees me drive by always gives me a thumbs up or says nice car etc. It does sound really good tho, I definitely recommend a new midpipe anyway, be it H or X, it just gives it that extra umphh.
