ok so i have a basically stock AOD 87 gt in real nice shape all around. runs perfect. only mods are flowmaster 40 series and k& N airfiler. and i'm gonna be realistic unlike people who think some flows give them an extra 10 hp and an extra 5 hp for the filter. i prolly have still somewhere around the stock numbers, 230 hp if i'm lucky i'd say. my question is what will it take to get my car to around 300 hp and what's the cheapest and easiest way to do it?

TrickFlow Kit... do a search. There are one million and one threads on it on this forum within the last 10 pages.

if you want to be realistic then you probably have at best 200rwhp because stock was 225 at the block i believe.

you can do h/c/i or put on a sc. both will get you there. the sc will be a little cheaper depending on the h/c/i you choose. or cheapest of all, a 100shot of n2o

cap and rotor n wires and ignition coil,h or x pipe and headers, e cam gt 40p heads cobra intake, 70 mm tb 75 mm maf 24 lb injectors wouldnt hurt, nitrous, is the cheapest way id say

ANY ENGINE INCREASE to a satisfactory level wil hit you a 1000-1500 mins , or you can do Nitrous, use when needed and save alot of gas.

hell i deal with a nasty CHOPPY idle and NOISY rollers everyday, but any mechanic or half geuiness knows what they hear, when I pull up

(raw power). Superchargers deliver smooth, ubrupt raw power and I love the timing curves

getting to 300 HP is easy. Wanna do it cheap? Just toss a 100 shot or N2O on there. Problem solved for under $1,000. Wanna do it cheaper than that? Steal someone else's bottle!

yea, but I dont consider nitrous a "legit" 300 horsepower. Kind of confusing topic but if it were me and I said I want 300hp I wouldnt want 300hp with a 100 shot of nitrous lol

Doing a 5 psi SC, or doing h/c/i won't get you there . I was at 270 RWHP afetr the SC and I have a bunch of otehr mods. I know an 86 has leess stock HP than an 87. You do H/C/I and SC and you'll be loving life.

lol...the cheapest way is simple. Want it from the engine with no additives, then go with the trick flow kit.

Or like others have said...NOS 100-125 shot
