waht color is the smoke and how long ha sit been sitting .If it fule injected the gas is probaly bas so I would drain it or suck it out with a siphion hose change fuel filter and fill it up with new gas and dump a bottle of lucas injector cleaner in it with a bottle of fuel drier and drive it around town til the tank empties then changer your filter agian . If you run the old fuel in ther you might damage the the fuel system

valve stem seals are probably dry-rotted so that smoke may never go away (if it's bluish/black)

If you see blue/purple smoke thats not good. It will only get worse. tear it down and rebuild.

If it's blue smoke, theoretically, you may have one or more sticking piston rings--particularly if the car has been sitting a while. If this is the case (which in my experience, it never is), a few hard romps on the throttle may clear it up. Otherwise, either the piston rings are worn, or the valve seals are bad.

^^^ This is the most likely thing thats happened. Its leaking down when its sitting there not running and when you crank it, it burns the oil

valve stem seals are also simple as hell to replace

The cylinder walls could be pitted too so its letting a lot of oil slip by the rings and burning oil.
