Default l i brought my car in to the shop, they tryed to hook it to the computer to see whattecu please help

ok well i brought my car in to the shop, they tryed to hook it to the computer to see what was wrong. they said it had a 96 stang ecu connection in it and the reader said it couldant connect to the car. he said there was no way they can get the computer to communicate with the car after like 2 hours of work. why could this be abdnd what can i do

There should still be an obd I conn under hood,pass rear.

95 and 96 were screwed up years for gm and ford. they were converting from obd1 stuff, which had various style connectors, and on gm's wouldnt power up a scan tool without a remote 12v soucre, to a style specific to the manufacture. your car may still have the 96 obd2 style connector, but if its a 95 you'll have to use the connector under the hood to communicate with the eec module

The OBDII in our cars are only for the V6.

That is why we have them. They Do Not Work On The 5.0's
