RE: switching to american muscle
Actually the 85 GT I have now and the 86 GT I used to have like 12-13 years ago are the only american cars I have ever owned. I have always been into toyota trucks, I've had like 15 of them. I have 4 right now. I've had other cars too, a 79 rx7, 85 mr2,85 BMW 325e, 92 BMW 325i, 02 mini cooper S, and a 2004 acura rsx which I hated after about a month of owning it. Couldn't see out of the thing. Traded that one in after 7 months on my new tacoma. But there's nothing like the sound of a healthy V8, which is why I bought the 85 GT after all those years without one. And anyone who lusts after an E36 should talk to some people who have owned them after 150k. Holy expensive crapbox. I have lots of friends who drive these, and they are great until about 125k or so. After that they get real expensive. The drivetrains hold up great, just the car around them falls apart.

Born into a ford family. When I was ten my grandfather had 62 cars all Fords, including 1968 Cougar GT-E(427), 1969 GT500 SCJ drag pack race pack, Boss 351, multiply Boss 302s, 1970 Ranchero 429SCJ 4 speed........ So no I was never into imports. My grandfather was the original owner on my 1983 GT Conv.
P.S. I'm actually about to buy a Mazda 6 as my dd. Mazda is mostly owned by Ford so......
