My 1990 gt is f**** up. Every time I step on the brake the rear brakes make a thumping noise. Once I pulled the Ebrake and I heard a pop but the Ebrake still works fine. I'm not sure what the noise is but it is really pissing me off. [:@]Do you guys have any suggestions ?

Have you done anything to them recently? Have you pulled the wheels to look at the brakes to see anything obvious? That would be the 1st thing to do.

Yeah I pulled the drums and the brakes look fine I couldn't see any thing wrong with them So I took it to a local shop and they said they here the noise but cannot locate where it is comming from. [:@]

Are the drums adjusted correctly. They should just barely drag on the shoes. Is there any pulsation upon brake application. Are you sure it's a brake problem and not a brake induced noise?

I think you maybe on to something when you say brake induced noise. Maybe berring noise ? Some times I get a howling noise when I make a turn.
