Don't worry about it man...He's just trying to keep you from what he thinks is wasting your money. Just save up and buy your parts when you have a bunch of money, instead of saving just enough and dropping all your money on them. I guess it depends on what attitude your dad's taking toward the situation...I know mine used to get pissed when I'd get UPS and FedEx trucks stopping by the house once or twice a week, lol.
