Im gonna do my DIY build as follows:
garret t70
ill do all intercooler piping myself
ebay intercooler
tial 50 mm bov
38mm wastegate
custom dump tube (or maybe none at all)
usin stock headers flipped upside down and switched sides
im makin custom y pipe for headers to turbo
custom down pipe
bbk 255 fp
fpr bbk
42 injectors
havin sumone else tune it and im only gonna run 6 psi at first till i get everything worked out... let me know what you think ..... ive been doing research non stop for weeks now and its not as bad as it seems...... the hardest thing will be the down pipe and y pipe for the headers...... it may take a few weeks to save up for the major stuff but i plan on buyin my intercooler and piping next week than the turbo the week after and so on...... sound cool?

A T70 is huge for a 302 if you're making a street car. You'll get better response with a smaller piece like a T62. Can your bottom end handle all this boost? I'd blowup my motor with a Turbo.

You're my hero though. I wanna' do a Turbo motor too. I need a real block with beefy parts though. I'll go for 650 HP someday!

i was told on TURBOMUSTANGS.COM to run the t70 for a single turbo set-up...... im only gonna run 6-8 psi at first so no im not worried about blowin it up..... and when i saw ebay intercooler i mean a used intercooler or one for B&G turbo that they sell on ebay..... i dont mean a 10 dollar intercooler..... im not gonna go buy a bran new intercooler for 1200 bux just because it is the best quality.... seriously if u cant post anything constructive than dont post...... smart azz comments like that dont help man

walbro makes most of all fuel pumps. more then likely, the bbk is a walbro, but they stuck their name on it and jacked the price up. a 225lph walbro is $100 on ebay

I think what you are doing is great. Because all the parts for a DIY turbo kit are out there. And the price of doing one this way is much cheaper than most people think. I too have researched a DIY Turbo kit, and its the only way to go. I plan to spend $2000 or less for mine in the near future. I wish you best of luck and I look forward to seeing how everything progresses with your project.
