I have a 89 5.0 gt convertible

Mods.
Forged pistons, holley systemax kit with alluminum heads cam intake manifolds and such, 70mm throttle body, 24lb injectors, fuel pump, adjustable pressure regulator, mas air meter, fenderwall intake, flowtech headers, flowtech x pipe no cats, flowtech warlock mufflers with dumps/removable pass-thru plates, aluminum radiator, elec fan, no ac, no smog pump, 4.10's, aluminum driveshaft, built tranny and clutch, pro ripper, welded subframe connectors, strut tower brace, 140amp alternator, probly forgot something

anyways..
currently running stock distributor, coil, and stock ignition and computer...
using ford racing wires, cap and rotor.

looking at upgrading distributor, coil, and ignition...computer will have to wait($)
wondering if anyone has any luck with brands or any ideas of what i should buy first... msd ?

I've had good luck with MSD ignition stuff personally. I haven't heard one good thing about their billet distributors, but I'm running the Blaster TFI coil, MSD cap/rotor, and taylor spiro-pro plug wires, and ngk v power plugs and all of this stuff has worked great for me.

how about an ls1. all the mustang guys around here love them. i hear these motors are hand built...by god.
