so, i was looking under my car today... (dont know why) and i see this wire hanging down by my exhaust pipes.

when i put my hands on it, the thing is frayed and its been cut... i cant see where the wire goes but its hanging right where the midpipe hangers are at. its in the middle of the car, so i cant tell where its going w/o jacks (i dont have).

my question is if anyonw knows what this could be for? im thinking it could be the fuel level sender, because my fuel guage is not working... does anyone know at all?

no, its near the tranny. its not the o2 sensors its on the undercarage... not on the pipe just near it!

does it look like a flat braided wire if so its proballya ground strap

nope, it has 2 wires going up into the car i think...

it goes into a connector right where one of the wires is cut. there are 3 wires on the connector, but only 2 on the part hanging down.
