Hi guys. I have a 84' hatchback mustang with a 302 and cam. I've got a jasper trans in it and just the other day i went into the mall and while i was driving there it was PERFECTLY fine... when i come out of the mall it wont shift into 2nd while its in drive(by the way.. its an auto).. when i did it manually it did it perfectly fine and also went into reverse like there was no problem... could anyone tell me what might be wrong with it?? And also i'm having some trouble with keeping the baby cooooool! it always runs hot when it sits. anything that might help with that?..thanks!!

i dont know about the tranny (valve body?)
for the cooling check the thermostat, and see if the radiator is not clogged. im not sure what kind of fan that year 302 has but check to see if its operating properly...
