Does WISHING I had a 408 under the hood mean anything?

have one in the shop as of 6/25/04 I know all the tech crap if you got any Qs on that as far as how it runs dont have a clue yet. 4" stroke, 6.250 rods and .030 over is your standard 408.

heres my question,,,did you have to ding your oil pan for the rod bolt to clear the pan i had to,,on my 408 ,,problem is building a 418 for truck,,i think i will have to beat it even more but not sure???its the #7 rod a belive that hits the side of the pan??if it h\as to be beat anymore that what i did on my 408 the oil pan is not going to seal up..might have to go 408 or 393 insteed????

there is a couple of companies the make fabricated oil pans for 408s but i dont know about the 418 lok for a kit thats goes more rod than stroke like 6.500 rod and 3.75 stroke im not sure if you can even get that stuff.

okay,, 351w short block only,,,.060 srp flattops,eagle rods stock crank went 10.59 on 175shot 8 miles $800.00,,second motor,,,351w .060 k/b flattops short block also can hear run still in truckgot appx. 5000 miles maybe $600.00,,,third one 289 .040 flattops with 272 cam and lifters still got timing cover on it $250.00,,dart big m b.b.c.580 cu in 14.1 comp. short block $4500.00 never ***....let me know what one you need??
