Out here in Tucson, we have rust-free cars about like that on the street corners for no more than 3K...
He if he'll take 3 but look at EVERYTHING real close.....

I did a search and discovered that the floorboards ahve a tendency to rust...anything else I should look out for?

I bought it from a marine..he said that it sat most of the time when he was on tour and that he didn't really have the money or time to do anything he wanted with it. He said that he'd rather sell it and see someone drive it than let it sit.

really other than body panels theres nothing else you really have to worry about major rust problems... my opinion, buy it if you can get him to 3500 if not take your money elseware. you can find a good stang for 3500

He's asking way too much, I paid 4500 for mine and it was modded and in great condition no need for paint or tires and 0 rust so I would try to talk him down, hell offer him blue book because honestly supply and demand doesn't really work w/ stock foxes right now the market is for modded mustangs who really wants a stock of a car that's not a classic yet, so I say offer him blue book don't go over 3500 and if he doesn't want to sale buy something else, you'd be better off.
