Default 5.0 Junkies...HELP!!!

It's been a while since I've been in the market for a 5.0.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to look at this. http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=831071
This guy lives 10 min. from my house so I figured I'd give it a shot. Need some advice on what I'm looking for??? It's the original paint job, does need new tires though. Also, it's an AUTO. He's asking $4,500.

How much would a new "decent" paint job run me??? I know you can spend as much as you want on a paint job...but I figure $1,500 is fair?

Looks like a pretty good deal, just try to see if he will go down any before you buy it

See, the problem is, I think it may be nicer than my budget will allow. I don't think he'd go to $3,500. & I REALLY dont want to go above $3,700.

I think you could get a better 5.0 for $4,500...I wouldn't pay more than $3,500 because of the paint and tires. JMO

Cosmetically it doesn't seem like the best option out there, but it does seem well documented when I talked to the guy...which goes a long way if only 2 people have owned it before hand.

dont get too excited about it... it blurs your vision and makes you overlook some important things... make sure you look under the car for rusted floor panels. the car looks like its well taken care of but i think his price it based on sentimental value. judging the picture it looks like he has a lot of $ so i bet if you offer him about 3,700 he'll take it. also ask him when he did the 3.73 gears and who did it. if he did it himself theres a good chance he might of messed something up it can be a pretty tricky install. let us know what happens

He bought the car with the gears already in it.

IF THIS IS THE CASE:

Nice car
Orig paint job
Interior is in nice shape
Rides nice

Is $3,700 too much??? I don't know. I've been in my 2000 too long and not following the fox market.

NEED ADVICE PLEASE

hell, the seller was wasking $5,000 for mine...I offered him $3,500 and he took it. My porno red interior is mint, exterior is decent! Mine has 94k on the clock.

See if he'll take $3,000. The worst he'll say is no, then you up the anty a bit

What was the scenereo of your far before your purchase??? was it his sons, then he went to school??? Cuz it's this guys toy...but I'd bet his wife would like to see it gone.

To the guy that suggested he's got money, he doesn't, trust me. My town is a dump, and this guys town makes flint, MI look like beverly hills.
