Basically cuppage is when the belts start to seperate in the tire. If you run your hand over the tire you will feel a low spot. Cuppage will cause noise and sometimes only at certain speeds. For example a car may only make noise at 50mph, so if the driver speeds up/slows down to anything but 50mph, the noise will go away. Just something to check.
