haynes or chilton?

Default haynes or chilton?

which seems to be better? i cant really look at them since they are shrink wrapped and im too cheap to buy both.

Chilton's is the best overall book, but Haynes has the better expanded wiring diagrams.

They both have their strong points.

If funds permit, it would be nice to get both.

A good source for these books are the used book stores. Often they have heavily discounted manuals.

If your not very good at looking at books I would by the haynes but if your a genius buy the chiltons

Yeah the Ford book is probably better, but it doesn't have the wiring diagrams that Haynes and Chiltons have.

Even if it did the Ford books are year specific.

This means that I would be screwed, as my 90GT has a 91 wiring harness, from the factory.

The info that is covered in the Ford book is better though.

When I bought mine it was close to 100 bills IIRC.
It was a painful purchase at the time, but it has been worth it.

I have both, chilton goes over more than the haynes does. If I had to pick one I'd pick the chilton.
