No there might not be a problem at intitial startup because the car's choke will allow it to idle faster at startup. I've had many situations where my carb was out of tune and it would run fine until it got warmed up then it would idle poorly and sometimes die.

I take it he means that it doesnt do anything when he stops and puts it innuetral after its been warmed up. Thats what i meant, it is only doing it from a roll. If it was the carb it seems to me that like you said when you first start it up and its cold it may have a diff idle, but it shouldnt still be ok if you stop and put it in neutral after its been warmed up, because then the idle would change as you stated once it warms up. I dunno just sounds like it isnt being explained correct or i am missing something cause this is a strange one to me. But if i am misinterpereting what he is saying i could see it being the carb as you have suggested.
