351w FTW.... Oh, while your at it, stroke it to 408... [8D]
If I could do it over again, i'd build a 408 nitrous motor.
Still not done with my setup, built nearly everything around what I want in a year or two.
Turbo'd 331.
This low compression is killing me...

cuz a 408 even a 347 will usually blow away a 351w....i have had all...yes a 351w swap is gr8 over a 302...but if ya want power a 331/3347 is way to go torq is down low and is a beast...351w is higher with peak torq..on avg...in wyoming i seen a 347 stroker with edelbrock rpm set up.and a 351w with edel rpms and wasnt even close...347 won by 2 cars off line couldnt get traction ...i know from exp not what folks say...

What about those of us who actually like to turn? A 351 with aluminum heads is barely lighter than a 302 with iron heads. In my Tbird, weight is already an enemy, then im going to add more so i can make 600 horsepower, be really hard on the brakes, and still have understeer problems?

Not to mention, trying finding yourself a 351 roller block.
