Ok i got an 87 5.0 gt. i was thinking about putting some 17" cobra R's on it. right now it has the stock 15"s. anyways, i was wondering if i HAVE to put disc brakes on there to put those wheels on. it costs a lot to convert to disc, this is why i'm asking. i'm assuming that i have drum brakes, but i'm not positive. any help on this issue???

You have drums in the rear.... and no you do not HAVE TO convert it. Also, make sure you get them for a 4 lug and not 5.

ok so if i have front disc and rear drums, is that going to affect the kind of wheels i can get???

nope not at all, just be sure you get the 4 lug rims not the 5 lug

heres my car with 00 special ed. GT wheels, 17" W/ 245-45. I have the 5 lug conversion but like stated before they make cobra Rs in 4 lug. As you can see I have drums in the rear
