Used gt40ps are the way to go if you dont need to pass smog. a lot of shorty headers will work with them but you gotta wrap your plug wires.
Which shorty headers? I'm getting a set of P's too and would like to know which shorties would work.

My buddys neon had a cracked head gasket, and he was burning a very small amount of coolant. you couldnt tell from white smoke, but the coolant level was certainly going down.

No answers, Peanut Jutter and Belly, but I do have a question. You say that your motor is burning coolant. What signs do you have that coolant is being burned? White smoke, or just a low coolant level? I ask because I was wondering if a motor could be burning coolant without producing white smoke. Thanks.

Man, you should be able to find a good set of used heads for 500 without having to get the P heads. Look for used X heads or performer and trickflow. Have you checked the classified adds at www.corral.net ? I bought alot of good stuff there and got awesome deals. Bought a new edelbrock Rpm II on there for 350!! The E cam is a decent cam. Imrunning it in a 347. Im bout to switch it out for something bigger but it's a still a decent cam for a slightly modded motor.
