Yea i got my tires to LAST a long time on the street not to launch hard at the track. When the time comes after i get my h/c/i swap i will get a pair of welds for the back and toss some slicks or drag radials on there, for the track runs. I wouldnt get drag radials for a DD though unless you have money to be buying new tires every 6mos-1yr. My car does fine on these 245/60/15 tires though on the street for my apllication. But if i were you and looking for a tire to launch hard with, i would also go with the previously stated BFG DRAG RADIAL.

do not get slicks....get the drag radials.....they work just as good for your application.....trust me.....I have a 12.50 car and I use the BFG Drag Radials.....
Have you actually ran 12.50s or do you think you have a 12.50 car?

Drag radials are for dual purpose. If you want one tire to both street drive on and race, then go with a drag radial. If you are buying a tire to mount on a different set of rims to race on, go with the slick. Stay short and thin though (26x8). You don't have the power to use the larger contact patch.

yes the drag radials are dual purpose but i wouldnt recommend it on a DD, they wear quickly. better for a weekend or good weather driver. imo

Depends in where I am........in Fontana I ran a 12.71....In Palmdale I ran a 13.09......that was with the Nitrous........Palmdale is 2500 feet above sea level........and I cut 1.71 60 foot times..........grabbing the bottle out of the hole.......

I have the suspension....I just lack the horsepower.........damn it......

Now with the blower I dont know where I am. I should know by Friday..........

What's the difference in the combos? Was this just a remove nitrous, add blower swap? How much were you spraying compared to how much boost are you running now? What the rest of the combo?

It was a remover nitrous, add blower set up. The reason I went away from the nitrous....was the climate where I live...........I could never get the damn bottle to stay at 900 psi for more then 30 minutes. It is 110 during the day and 68 at night........and in the winter it is 68 in the day and 32 at night. I could put my bottle in the car at 900 psi..and drive 20 minutes and the bottle pressure would be at 1200 psi. Or it would drop to 750 psi. Both of those psi suck. You know this..... I was running the Nitrous Express 125-150 shot. The reason I got the blower was I sold my bike and had the money. Why not? At 6 pounds of boost the car feels like it did on Nitrous...but my *** dyno probably is wrong. Now the car runs like crap during the day and great at night.......[>:] If the car doesn't post near a 12.70 like it did, then I will throw a 50 shot back on it....to cool the intake track.

The Rest of the Combo is this

-NHRA Approved 10 point roll cage.......to the 7.99's
-BBK Sub-frame connectors

-Flaming River Battery Relocation Kit with Kill switch...ummm "Push Off" I hate when my friends do it to me at a light
-Cervini's 2 1/2' Cowl Hood
-G-Force 5 Point Cam Lock Harnesses

This is why I can leave at 6000 rpm's...........

Now the good stuff........feel free to laugh and poke fun at....I do......

1989 Stock 302 with just bolts on's

-Powerdyne 6 PSI Supercharger
-BBK 70 MM throttle body
