ok i have a 93 mustang 5.0 and i want to change the pcv but idk where the thing is at under the hood and this is going to be the frist time i do this so is their anything i need to know befor i do it

Its on the very back side of the lower intake manifold.
Easiest to just take off upper intake to get to it. Replace everything.......... grommet, screen filter and use Motorcraft PCV valve. you could probably get away with re-using the grommet. |

If you don't want to take off your upper intake, just look around the driver's side of the intake, underneath. You should see two hoses running from a fitting on the bottom of the upper intake--one hose goes to the front of the intake, and the other goes to the rear. The one going to the rear of the intake is attached to your pcv valve.

how often do you guys think the pcv valve should be checked/replaced??? what are the symtoms of it needing to be serviced?
