is your shifter aligned properly? i had this problem with my short shifter, it didnt even want to go in gear when i took out my console my shifter was a quarter of an inch off set and it wasnt catching.

yea im gonna be nice to it till it gets fixed, planed on takin it to the track tn, but im not, dont wanna mess it up.

and that was my other thing? i was gonna put a short throw in it(lets suggest some brands....im thinkin pro 5.0) do u think that could be it? chances are its not, but i guess its possible, seein that that was ur prob

pro 5.0's have great reviews, i have several friends with them and they shift really nice, never miss 3rd

just curious how hard is it to change the rod?...i'm pretty sure i bent mine in my tko...and so before anybody thinks tremmecs are bullet proof....think again.

i have the B & M Ripper short throw, great shifter nice and short. have a look at it, it takes 2 seconds then the syncros it might be that sucks hard.

when driving normally it goes in to every gear perfectly,

heres my opinion.... listen to your own advice until you have a whole bunch of money to have a tranny shop repair it for you, all tranny works is pricey

Like i said before, your second gear syncro is most likely bad. Mine started out just making a SUPER short grind noise when shifting fast. It got progressively worse, and now it sometimes wont even go in. Just get the thing rebuilt.

If you can swing it, get the tremec. I have a pro 5.0 on mine and it's okay. I wish it was tad shorter but I haven't missed a gear, yet. I am just not a big fan of the T5. I have no clue what it would cost to rebuild one but if you are going to spend the $ do it right.
