yeah, I read it man. Your streetfire vid shows you shifting pretty decent. What kind of tremec did you trash? TKO5,6 3550????
NOTHING can't be broken. It still whips the **** out of a t5.

ORIGINAL: ckyguy68

Like i said before, your second gear syncro is most likely bad. Mine started out just making a SUPER short grind noise when shifting fast. It got progressively worse, and now it sometimes wont even go in. Just get the thing rebuilt.
****. when i shift hard (fast) into second it makes just a small grind, but when driving normal it doesn't (this sounds exactly like what you guys are talking about). so does this mean only replacing the syncro or does the whole freakin tranny need work. o yeah, and every once and a while, when i go to shift into reverse, it won't go into gear, so i have to roll it a little in first, then shift back to first.

wellyea, chances are im gonna drop the trans myself and take it to a trans place... no point in gettin charged for them to drop it when i can. question is , its gonna be ok to just get the syncro replaced right? i mean i wont have to get the whole tranny rebuilt... cuz im sure thats a big $ diff between the two.

It's not worth the shop's time and your $ to have them just put in a synchro. Visa baby. It's where you want to be.[X(]
