Default Guys with AFR 185s

All you guys who have afr 185s, are you running the original valve springs or have you upgraded? I found a place that sells the heads with better springs so i can run more than .550 lift. But im not sure on the rpm limmit of the spring. want to run the motor upto 7 grand and dont want the valves floating on me. I have seen that the ones that come on the afrs are good for under 6500. anyone change the springs on theirs or have a problem reving higher than 6500?

6500??? yeah right...that made me cringe a little...i upgraded mine for my custom cam...the afr's are heavy mass weight wise.....get your cam first so you'll know those springs will be able to take the abuse..right seat pressure and all that jive

Contact the cam manufacturer, and ask what springs they recommend, they are the best people to advise you on your setup.
