Pinion Snubber

RE: Pinion Snubber
Pinion snubbers limit the amount of upward rotation of the nose of the rear end when you accelerate the car from a stop. This helps the car transfer weight to the rear wheels which increase the traction available and makes the car launch better. I installed one on my Stang from Competition Engineering and it works great. It only takes a few minutes to install as it bolts right in to replace the stock pinion snubber by removing just 3 bolts using an 8 mm socket. It is adjustable so you can lower it down to almost touch the nose of the rear at the track and then you can raise it up to a higher postion for the drive home. It may hit the snubber on hard bumps but as long as it ain't hitting it all the time you will be OK using it. You can also trim off some of the rubber part if you need more clearance for street driving.
