Default steering

well my steering felt like it was getting real sloppy. i jacked the car and you can move the wheels like and inch front to back.is there a way to tighten up the rack? or do i just need to get a kit like the one in 50restro?thanks for the help

doesn't sound like a rack prob. to me, sounds like you've got some bad bushings, or something. take the tire off and check the wheel bearings, and then check the point where the hub and the lower a-arm meet. you might find your problem there.
