aod to c4

RE: aod to c4
Ok, hate to jump in on your thread here but I logged in to make a post about an AOD to C6 swap. My AOD is shot as well, and I can get a C6 pretty cheap. Is it the same basic idea? Is the C6 any good? Thoughts please.

maybe im stupid, or the whiskey is taking its toll, but cant he just take the bell housing off his aod and put it on his c 4?

Well the c4 idea is not wat im looking for the more i learn about the swap, now im deciding on if i should get a built AOD like the streetfighter or go with a AODE. So it built AOD vs AODE with upgrade valvebody. Anyone?

This is 2006! Man walked on the moon ages ago. Why would you even consider a C4 or C6?
The 4R70W is dimensionally identical to the AOD.
Can you cut wires and solder?
A lower first and second gear should be enough to get you intersested. And still have OD for hwy use.
See photo:
This is just a plain old auto out of a wrecked 98 V6 Mustang. I gave 200 for it but since it has more than 130,000 miles on it, I will spend some money on it. It will be mated to a 351 Cleveland and placed into a 67 Mustang.
My other swap only had less than 30,000 miles on it so I skipped the rebuild.
The supporting computer cost $425.00
The 4R70W is better than the AODE. Different ratios and other improvements. Ad a shift kit and it's a great shifting tranny.
