Should I buy this?

PX I think he was just talking about the alt pulley..............stock is a little bigger so he will get more AMPs at the cost of very little HP if any............My MAC Alt pulley was the same as the stock!

My stock one was smaller. My BBK one is bigger.
And trust me I've been dealing with this for a long time. Why would someone design a pulley that would make you lose voltage, over keeping the stock one? The entire KIT is design so you don't overheat and you don't lose voltage as apose to what you want people to do, grabbem, and just change the crank pulley.

RE: Should I buy this?
wow, you are stuck on thinking you need all 3 to work properly.
WRONG!
the alt pulley is slightly bigger, to help the charging issues, but the smaller crank pulley will slow down all the pulleys even the new alt pulley.
the bigger waterpump pulley slows the coolant flow causing the temperature to rise.
I had all 3 on there, till I was overheating and killing my battery.
I then put the stock waterpump puley on, and look at that, no more hot engine.
put in a 3G alternator and the pulley on there is bigger than the underdrive one, so I left the stock one on.
so grabbem is 100% right, the only one that really benifits you is the smaller crank pulley.
having the smaller crank pulley still slows the pulleys down, freeing up power, but the other 2 are a waste.
thats all I have to say about that.

alt is a waste..lowers voltage output...waterpump is ok but you'll run across heating/cooling problems....

I am sorry, but this is the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time.
what they say doesnt make any sense.
here is a quote from that link.
Delivers Full Charging, By Reducing The Unnecessary Speed Of The Accessories
if you slow the accessories it will produce LESS voltage from the alternator.
you dont get more charge by slowing the pulley,

Hey man, i didnt say i knew for sure, nor did i right that description. Just what i read and what he said were different. i personally have never used them, so i dont know. guy asked a question, i tried to help based on what i read. But PX429 also makes a good point. Why would they sell them if they dont work?wouldnt there have been some legalities that took place when ppl bought them and they were not as described?

RE: Should I buy this?
I bought the pulleys today for $40. They are brand new, but the guy still couldn't find the alt pulley. He is still looking though. He threw in a K&N filter. I was looking in year one and saw where they have 2-piece pulley kits and single underdrive crank pulleys. That leds me to believe that you don't need all 3 pulleys. Are there any difference in the pulleys in the 3-piece kit and the 2-piece kit. Still can't find just the alt. pulley. But I will just wait and see if this guy can find it.
