They have a lot of potential. I just hate non-pi motors
there more expensive because they have more engineering into them so you have more valves, one more cam and a sensitive cpu.

The cobras run great. Mu cousin has a 97. 305hp stock. theyre great for s/c applications. You can get alot of power out of them. Cams are like 1200 bux, but they will boost your power with a s/c.

Ok sorry i probably threw a lot of you guys off. The reason i said 96-98 cobra is because theyre kind of common, and i figured if i did go with a cobra it would be these years, as they are easier to find, and well the 94 and 95 cobras arent as common. I guess my question at hand here is why do people hate on the 96-98 4.6s so much? Are the cobra 4.6s in these years good?
also, what about a 94-95 cobra vs 96-98 cobra?

Go with a 5.0 cobra garrentted, IMO sound better easier to understand and build, cheaper, with the money you save you cant put somthing into the 5.0

Id go with the 94-95 cobra over the 96-98 cobra. The 5.0 is a great motor, cheap to mod with lots of potential. To get the most performance out of the 96-98 4.6's your gonn want to switch it over to PI before you do any other major mods, and that costs a lot. Id just go with a 99+ cobra if you dont want the 5.0. They already have PI engines.

i say hands down 96-98 cobra. 32 valve 4.6 is also BY FAR the best sounding motor out there.
96-98 cobra with a blower is a low 12's car. a 94-95 cobra is a low 13's car. your choice though
