Get a Sears Diehard Gold. They have an 8years warranty with free replacement up to 5 years. Theres really only 2 companies that make batteries, Delphi Automotive and Johnson Controls. So basically no matter what battery you buy, itll more than likely be the same as any other one. What the extra money is for is the warranty coverage period. Its worth the money IMO.

You dont really need an Optima battery, unless youre going to be doin some serious racing or off roading. That and theyre like $200, and the warranty isnt no where near as good as the DIehard one.

I paid out tha butt for my optima red top. Just because I have a stereo system and 200amp alt. Prolly dont make a difference though. I'd say a diehard is just as good, just not as pretty.

Its just the looks that gets ya.... I dont know why these other companies just dont throw a red plastic piece on top of their batteries and charge $200 dollars like optima does lol
