i own a 89 mustang gt anywayz yesterday the car was running great i was on empty so i filled it up drove around for awhile stopeed to grab a bite to eat got in the car drove it down the road car starts spultering an shaking threw all rpms an speed so im lstumped wires look good all on tight cap an rotor look good plugs i gotta check don't know how to check for codes so idk

How "empty" were you? If you let it get all the way down to E, you may have sucked up some trash in your pump or filter. The filter is easy to change and cheap, try that first.

was hot and humid at that time, because i would have the same problem when my car would get low on gas it would start to run like crap, but then i put a new 190lph fuel pump in and i havent had that problem since. or could be fuel filter.

Sounds like the fuel filter is clogged, and the motor's not getting enough gas to run right. When was the last time you changed it?

i just got the car 3 dayz ago so the filter doesn't look like its been changed im gunna change it now if its the fuel pump where is the pump located do i have't to drop the tank?

Yeah you have to drop the tank to get the fuel pump. Try just changing out the fuel filter, if that fails then check out the tank. The easy way I have found out to drop the tank is loosen both straps, leave the driver one on, and put a jack under the passenger side... Loosen it up all the way then lower the jack slowly and then you have full access. Of course this is after you disconnect the filler neck and disconnect the wire dead center on the tank. GL though. I had cutting out problem similar to that when the baffle in my tank was floating around cutting out my gas. If you get the tank completely off, shake it, if you hear something you need a new tank :-(.

In my 88 vert the "sock", which is a filter, on the end of the fuel pump had a hole in it and the fuel pump got clogged with dirt. Had same stumbling, cutting out issue. About a month after I fixed the fuel pump strainer, the baffle inside the tank broke loose and caused similar problems again. Replaced the tank and never had a problem again.
