Default Just got back from college and car doesnt start F***!!!

OK, so i came home from college for the weekend to drive my car. Soon as i get home i pull the cover off it and throw the keys in, put it has no power. So i figure my battery's dead. I pull up another car to it connect them, i get power, but when i turn the keys it doesnt even turn over. No sound at all. I got someone to rev up the engione while i tried to turn the keys, but still nothing. Iv never had it not start before. Should i just go buy a new battery or is it something else? Fu**. I didnt drive her for 2 weeks and now she wont start...

yea id try a new battery first. just 2 days ago mine died, and even w. it hooked up to someone elses it wouldnt start... we needed his truck, and a jumper pack to get it to barely crank. so first thing id do is new battery.

Yea, iv been tryin to get it for the last half hour. I just dont understand why its not even clicking or anything when i turn the key. Makes me think theres a wiring problem, but i dont know how it would have happened.

Well, thats what you get for going to college! [8D] Just kidding...

Take your battery to autozone or someplace like that and have them charge it up for you and see if it helps. Its free so it cant hurt to try.

sounds like it needs a new battery. make sure the connections and everything is really clean and stuff and it could be a wiring probably but who knows how that would come to.

True, they told me twice my battery was okay though, and i didnt believe them so i bought a new battery and it fixed the problem. Turns out the battery was holding voltage fine, but as soon as the starter load was put on it the voltage dropped to almost nothing.

Most places dont have the ability to LOAD test batteries. I used to sell car batteries (Sears auto center), and most batteries that would be ok on a hand held scanner would fail when load tested.
