Default 1989 Auto Trans

Is there a easy way to position or adjust the cable from the trans to the throttle bracket.
I am having a heck of the time trying to adjust it .
The car ****ft into a higher gear and as i drive which makes it so slow and bogs downs when i punch it i can do 0 to 50 in 40sec LOL

Any ideas in how to fix this would be great

The TV cable controls internal line pressure. Adjust it tight and shifts will be late and harsh. Adjust it too loose and the line pressure will be low, shifts will be early and soft, then the tranny will selfdestuct. You have been warned.
Messin with that cable will not give you the results you are looking for.
You need to install a good valve body kit and put the spacer on the TV limit valve as I suggested to someone else here the other day.
