Default World Class T5 Worth It?

I am getting my trans rebuilt. Should i spend the extra $100 and get the world class kit? Ive heard its not much better. I am going to be running H/C/I and 275 street slicks, so would a stocker rebuild be too weak?

I think someone said it's about 15% stronger than the stocker.

I'd save for a Tremec 3550. I had mine rebuild for about $500 total. I ended up cracking the case. You'll break yours too. They're not that strong. The Tremec is way beefier.

its pointless honestly, since your nto gonna be all out racing rebuilding is fine. there is no such thing as stronger bearings and synchros as they say, the only diff is the gears are probably more durable.

The funny thing about how a broke it was that I was highway racing and not drag racing. I had a 3.08 rear gear back then too, so the revs I was dumping into wasn't that high. A 3rd gear dump at 70 mph was very comfortable with a 3.08. I clowned this knuckle head in a MR2... A little hot wheels car. But when I got off' the highway I could smell the fluid burning on my exhaust. I guess I got clowned on that 1 too... [&:]

yea, my friend rebuilds transmissions. i asked him about a heavier duty kit. cuz some places will tell you they upgrade your sync's & brngs. but theres no such thing. they do have diff gears. so all they're doing is charging u more for the same thing. the only way to strength up ur tranny is to change your input shaft & stuff like that, if anything just buy a new one. like $1400.

technicially any 85 or newer is a "world class" tranny. it has nothing to do with the tranny it has to do with the t5 design being purchased by borg warner.
