there must be a site where you can find out the exact information on your mustang right by putting the vin # or door #? id like to know which tranny i have, which gear ratio and all that. i know that 87-93's came with 273s 308s & 327s, and they had diff 1st gear ration either 325,327 something like that or 295.

ya i knew that one but that only works for gts, what about lx's? because at first i thought all stangs were 295 first gear and came with 308's. then i found out that they have 295 and 325 or 327 first gear ratio & they have 273 gears and 327 gears. i already know i have the 308s. but it seems like i may have the 325 or 327.

LX and GT's share some of the same codes. Check you AX code on your door tag and see if its M, Z or E. Sounds like you know its Z (3.08) but think it may be E (3.27).

I've searched for an LX version of that decoder without any luck.
