Quick Question about my car

I have a 94 gt and just wanted to make sure of something. Did all of the 5.0's come with forged pistons or only certain years? If only certain years, is 94 one of them??/ THanks.

Certain years and I don't think a 94 was one of them. Someone else will chime in I'm sure!

nope. 94s have hypereutectic (SP?) pistons. I wouldnt spray too big of a shot! [:-]

87-92 5.0s had forged, then in 93 they switched to hypers....I believe that carried into 94 and on too.

Thats what i was afraid of, i just read somewhere on here that all 5.0's did and i got a little excited, was looking forward to being able to spray a bigger shot when i save up for my zex kit, i should be there in about two weeks...hopefully

Ford used forged pistons in all 5.0 HO motors from 1985-1992. Hyperutectics were used for the remaining 5.0 HO motors; 1993-1995 as well as the Cobra motors.
