I've always been told they're the same car. The GT comes with a body kit, and is always manual? LX can be either (I think), and also comes with a 4 banger. Also, stock for stock, the LX is supposedly faster due to the GT's added weight from the body kit. I could be completely off, so feel free to correct me if Im wrong...

yea the gt and lx both come in auto and manual. neither is def one or the other. the main difference is the gt body kit, and sometimes the interior is a lil different, but nothing major. the engines are the same and everything else in the drivetrain. just the lx catback is different because it has tailpipes and the gt just has dumps. i have heard the lx is a little bit lighter, but i would imagine its not that great a differernce since the gt body kit is all light weight urethane.
