RE: whats good intake???
What intake you plan on using is based on what your heads can flow. Dollar for dollar the best bang for the buck upgrade is a good set of heads. Stock heads SUCK!!!!! I just put E7 heads on my ranger, it had '69 351's on it. The port size between the 2 is rediculous. The 351 heads I would have to hog out the exhaust gasket to match it, the E7 heads exhaust ports are very small, about 1/8" all around. Not to mention the E7 heads have a stupid hump in the exhaust port to reduce flow (and no I dont mean the valve guide).
As for a cam, your best bet is to get a custom grind. Period. Itll be PERFECTLY matched to YOUR engine. Not a generic cam thats meant to help a broad range of vehicles with various stages of modifications. The stock intake should be fine for a while, IMO. There are 8 rather large runners, thatll easily flow more than what your motor can handle.
IMO, just get a good set of heads a custom grind cam and you should be all set, for one fast *** car.
