i know... i do the same thing.. it pisses him off when i buy stuff from someone else... hahah. But anyway. the laptop is an IBM thinkpad 770. its no powerhouse, but it works fine for normal stuff... internet browsing, EEC tuning... etc
Like i said, when/if you wanna order the stuff just give me a call. i'll see what i can do for you on the price, maybe even dip into my commission on it to save you a few$. I understand how it is trying to buy stuff for the car. im planning a motor swap this winter and it looks like it might get cancelled b/c my full time job pays me a crappy *** $8/hr

oh and the battery isnt that hard to come by, you can get one on ebay for a few bucks.... i just havent bothered to order one yet. there is supposedly a place not too far from my house that sells them, so i wanted to stop in there first and see if the price is cheaper.
