Thanks for everyone being so patient and nice to the new guy. I don't plan on modifying my car unless I find out that it is already not all original. If its not original I am calling Pony and I will get to the bottom of whats in his car and put it in mine.(Yes I do know the wing on the rear is not original or so i'm guessing. it should be the Luggage rack.) Hence my question, Can I get a factory build sheet from ford? a copy of a window sticker? It has an aluminum spare which I was told was only for a cobra???? and carfax lists this VIN as a " 1990 ford mustang GT/Cobra GT" WHat are they trying to tell me, or do all of the GT vin #'s say that. as always any help would be appreciated.

from what i have seen all the vin numbers say that. i know mine does and so does three of my freinds and there all just gt's

a local dealer will be able to give you the information for fords corporate research dept, they wil lbe able to tell you all you need to know, or else a carfax report will list the options it came with. use paintshop pro to resize photos to load or you can go to photobucket.com and create a album then use the url address from the photo and the image icon in the reply message to post the photo. good luck dude

That wing is original. Not all had luggage racks.

I really hope so but I don't remember one that looked like it. I was a sales manager at a large FORD dealer in the late '80s early 90's
and sold a ton of these. I was lucky that I got to drive a different one every 5000 miles for my demo.(even after I crashed one)
(they repaired it and sold it "damage declared " to one of the bodyshop guys for $5500.)

I will try and research it, or if any one else has an opinion I definitely would like to hear from you.

so far the only other not original questionable things I have found are the radio( I do have the original) and the (nickel plated?) headers
and the K&N air filter( Which I read in another post is not a good thing)

Check under the rear seat and under the hoodliner pad for a build sheet. Ive seen them in those places on several cars, including an '83 Town Car a few weeks ago.

Thanks, I'll lok under the seat when I get a chance, I think this car is missing the hood liner pad. i'll double check.
