5.0 POWA?!!

Hey ppl. Whats up im new here... I was just wondering if any of you knew the specs of the 5.0... I just bought a mustang, an it has the 5.0. Is it like the new 4.6 2v with around 260 hp? Or is it uppwards more towards the 300 hp range ? Sorry idk mch about this engine. This is my first stang.

but its more like 220hp

but its cheap and easy to get it up higher

The 5.0 and the 4.6 are two totally different engines... totally... i'll go with the push rods (5.0), but im sure im biased....

Others can give you the details better than i... meanwhile, welcome to the forums...

Twisted posted the numbers. It's really easy to get more power out of a 5.0 though, as opposed to the modular engines. Plus, the aftermarket for them is limitless.

lol, it's a little lower than 260, for the 87-93s it's about 225 horsepower but it's got 300 ft. lbs. tq. 94-95's have about 10 less horsepower. What year is yours?
