i agree with SS.

Get rid of the mats. Or trim it around the gas pedal, thats pretty damn hazerdous. Musta been a helluva ride though.

Seriously...Whenever the car goes crazy like that, just shut it down, before something bad happens. Hopefully you're on a straight road at the time though...cause it'll be a bitch steering if you're not. Nice job scaring the **** out of yourself, lol.

one time my dizzy modual went out and my car would shut off everytime i pressed the clutch in, well i was trying to get it home to avoid paying a tow bill. So i was flying home, going around a corner and a damn old man cutting his grass on his lawnmower pulled out of his driveway trying to get his damn paper, well i pressed the clutch in and hit the breaks out of an imediate reaction. Well i was headed straight into a sharp curve. My steering locked up and i about **** myself. I had to keep messing with the ignition to try and keep it from locking the steering column because it was messed up at the time and the only time it would not lock up is when the car was fully on. So, luckily i got it cranked and was able to turn in time, but let me tell ya, i about had a f(ckin stroke when this happened.
