Default long tubes or shorty equal length?

I CURRENTLY HAVE SHORTY EQUAL LENGTH 1 AND 5/8 HEADERS. I AM PRETTY SURE I NEED TO GO WITH THE LONG TUBES. I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO MODIFY MY H-PIPE SINCE IT IS FOR SHORTIES. WILL LONG TUBES BE BENEFICIAL FOR E.T.'S OR SHOULD I JUST KEEP IT THE WAY IT IS? LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS MADE THASWAP AND KNOWS FOR SURE. THANKS

You dont HAVE to go with longtubes. And you will have to get a new h pipe specifically for longtubes unless you plan on cutting/welding your midpipe. Honestly, I would just save yourself the money and put into something else... like suspension.

december 05/ jan 06 issue of Modified Mustangs has an excellent article on the characteristics on different header designs. It will likely answer any questions you may have regarding benefits/drawbacks of various styles.

I'd stay with the shorties and mod something else. 1 5/8 equal lengths shouldn't be killing your perf.
