I'm with you 88 Blue. I've been trying to figure out the right brand/model head, cam, rockers, etc. for a while.

I think I've headr every possible scenario.

Think that's good for my set up, if I go with AFR 185's, and stud mount rockers. I'm also going to do head studs and hardened push rods. Does that make sense?

Sorry about the double post and 88 Blue, I'm not trying to steal your thread here, but you have a lot of the same plans I do.

Thanks man.

No problem at all. I want you to steal it lol because I am going to be running the same setup as you are and since your one step ahead of me I can learn from your mistakes! LoL hahah JP!

But head studs are not a bad idea at all and ALSO I believe hardened pushrods are a neccessity. Not sure on the rockers though... Im definetly rocker retarted [8D]

Trust me. I'll make plenty, my friend. I'm good at that. I'm buttoning up the Black Magic Xtreme electric fan install tonight and a word to the wise, don't bother with the a.c. or manual hookup. It doesn't come with the manual switch and the a.c. splicing would make the wires have to go across the radiator, unless I got it wrong. Once you set the temp control, the fan would come on anyway, so I'm not sure I see the need for the a.c. tie in.

Any idea on what length pushrod is needed or would the place you get the heads from know that?

Read the thread right now called "lifters, rockers, pushrods" or something like that. Joel5.0 posted a good calculator on there to determine correct length for your pushrod. I didnt even look at it yet but I will in a few.

Good recommedations and I'll check that out as well.

I'm hoping to get a good idea as to what I should do in all three areas.
